GRAND LAKE COTTAGES OFFERS ALL FOUR SEASONS OF ACTIVITIES.
East Grand and Spednic Lakes offer some of the world’s best salmon and Smallmouth bass fishing and the area is full of remote streams and ponds where Trout can be caught on fly or spinning tackle. The area is a hunters dream with opportunity to hunt small game, grouse, woodcock, waterfowl, deer, and moose. The lakes and rivers also provide breathtaking scenery for family activities such as canoeing, boating, kayaking, swimming, hiking, and bicycling.
Spring
Salmon, averaging 2 to 4 pounds with some running as large as 5 to 7 pounds and Lake trout are caught by surface trolling streamers around May 1st, immediately after Ice Out. Smallmouth bass are caught around late May and early June, along the shores with artificial lures and light tackle. Trout fishing in the remote streams and ponds are always excellent with flies or spinners.
SUMMER
Salmon are caught in the deeper waters by trolling 4 to 6 colors down with lead core line, bright spoons and streamers, line tied bait. Smallmouth bass can be caught on the surface or in deeper water with artificials and live bait. There are also an ample amount of Lake trout, White perch, and Pickerel in the lakes.
Hiking, bicycling, kayaking, canoeing, inner tubing, swimming are also common activities in the warmer months. Nearby trails:

Fall
Salmon are again caught by trolling surface streamers. Smallmouth bass begins feeding heavily around this time as the winter months approach.
Big game opens up with deer and moose in late October and through November. Small game opens up in early October.
Nature lovers enjoy peaceful autumn views around this time of year with photographic vibrant colors.

Ice fishing is also a great opportunity to catch Salmon, Lake trout, Perch, and Pickerel with live bait.
Snowmobiling, ice skating, and cross-country skiing through the trails are also another way to enjoy the colder months.
